About project

Tenure with Macdonald Architects View from the Ross Island Bridge of the towers of the Tilikum Crossing bridge (in Portland, Oregon) under construction across the Willamette River as part of TriMet's Portland–Milwaukie light rail project. At the time of the photo, the bridge had not yet been officially named, and was being officially referred to as the Portland-Milwaukie Light Rail Bridge — and sometimes as the Caruthers Bridge, for the street nearest its east end. Opened in 2015, the bridge carries MAX light rail trains, TriMet buses, the city-owned Portland Streetcar, bicycles, pedestrians and emergency vehicles, but not any private motor vehicles. Visible in the background of this view are the Marquam Bridge (carrying I-5) and the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI).
